Our History

From one property renovation in Rusholme to more than 850 apartments delivered across Manchester, and a further £300m worth of assets in the pipeline. This is Beech Holdings’ story of success:

2000-2005

  • Stephen Beech buys and renovates his first property, marking the birth of Beech Properties
  • The first office is set up in Rusholme, close to all properties and an established part of the Rusholme community
  • The business grows to a team of two employees and a team of builders. The first builder is still with the business twenty years later in 2020
  • Beech Properties creates its first low carbon property achieving A rating EPC

2005 – 2011

  • The Beech Portfolio grows to over 100 properties
  • Beech Properties wins at the UK Environment and Energy Awards for best energy efficient refurbishment
  • Beech Properties wins Green Landlord of the Year at the Landlord & Letting Awards

2011 – 2014

  • Beech Properties earns a Royal endorsement from HRH Prince Charles for sustainable technologies
  • Beech Holdings acquire their first building in Manchester city centre, marking the birth of Manchester Apartments, their city centre lettings and property management division
  • Beech Holdings purchase derelict council building for £3.5m for renovation

2014 – 2016

  • Beech Holdings launch investment products to the market
  • Beech Design & Build complete the development of 100 apartments
  • Stephen Beech wins property entrepreneur of the year 2016

2016 – 2018

  • Beech Properties receives a personal congratulations from serving Prime Minster, David Cameron
  • Beech Holdings win bespoke and urban developer of the year 2017
  • Brand new £1m Oxford Street offices opened by CEO of Manchester City Council, Sir Howard Bernstein

2018 – 2020

  • Beech Holdings begin construction on Warwick House, Great Ancoats Street and Ancoats Gardens
  • Beech Holdings gains ‘best place to work’ accreditation
  • Beech Holdings delivers 850 apartments with 1000+ new apartments in the pipeline

Lettings & Property Management

LETTINGS & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Manchester Apartments is an award winning arm of the Beech Group. Our experienced team match tenants with suitable accommodation in Manchester, vetting tenants during the application process and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Property Management team is instrumental in protecting you and improving the lives of our tenants. Our communications team is vital in assisting lettings and providing high quality leads through marketing activity.

Maintenance

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance is a vital part of property management. Each development has a dedicated and experienced in-house maintenance team who quickly respond and resolve a wide range of issues for our tenants. Our maintenance team are integral to the day to day running of our properties, ensuring that they are always clean and well maintained to ensure the happiness and safety of our tenants.

Partnership with Forever Manchester

Forever Manchester are a fantastic local charity that funds and supports a wide range of community projects across Greater Manchester. Rather than tackling one particular issue, the charity support a variety of different people through a wealth of activities and organisations, from funding social projects for the elderly to helping disabled people get involved with different sports.

Since 1989, Forever Manchester has delivered a noteworthy £36m into community projects across Manchester; through getting involved with their fundraising events and organising our own, we hope to push this figure as high as possible.

    From 2016 until mid-2017, we worked with RECLAIM to help support young people across Manchester from working class communities. Coming from a working class background himself, Stephen Beech was lucky to have a stable, supportive family to remain focused on working hard for what he believed in. Other bright young people from the same background don’t always have that chance. This is where RECLAIM does a great job. The charity aspires young people to do positive things and earn confidence to get their voice heard.
